Future Plans for Bowdoinham and Richmond Branches of Down East Credit Union and Down East Insurance Agency

To better serve all members living in the Sagadahoc County/Harpswell/Brunswick area we are currently planning to build a new branch on Main Street in Topsham. Our schedule is to relocate the Bowdoinham Branch of Down East Credit Union as well as the Bowdoinham Branch and Richmond Headquarters of Down East Insurance Agency to the new location by late Fall 2010. Just a few highlights of the new facility will be:
• Drive up Window Service
• Enclosed Walk – Up ATM
• Adequate and Safe Parking

2011 – We plan to relocate the Richmond branch of Down East Credit Union on Main Street, Richmond to a new location across from our current location. A few of the highlights of the new office will be:
• Safer Drive up window service
• Safer ATM and Night Deposit access
• Improved air quality and work environment for members and staff

Professional Society Recognizes Local Insurance Agent
The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) recently honored Angela Chute, CIC, of Down East Insurance Agency, Bowdoinham for dedication and leadership in the insurance industry.
Mrs.Chute was awarded a certificate of achievement, recognizing five consecutive years of active affiliation with the Society of CIC. The CIC designation carries meaningful prestige in the insurance profession as it signifies commitment to advanced knowledge and customer service.
The Society's President, Dr. William T. Hold, CIC, CPCU, CLU, cited “This accomplishment denotes outstanding achievement within the insurance profession. The high standards maintained by Angela Chute will reflect positively on clients, associates and the insurance industry as a whole.”
The Society of CIC is the founding program of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the nation's leading source of continuing education programs for the insurance and risk management industries. Other members of the organization include the Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR), the Certified Risk Manager Program (CRM) and the National Research Academy. Down East Insurance Agency is a Credit Union Service Organization wholly owned by Down East Credit Union. DEIA has offices, in addition to Bowdoinham, in Baileyville and Gardiner as well as it's Hub located in Richmond.

DEIA welcomes Stacey Chenevert to the Down East family

Stacey joins Down East Insurance Agency with over 20 years in the financial industry with the past nine working with Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance. A familiar face in the Midcoast region, Stacey is actively involved in her community. Volunteering to serve on numerous boards and committees which has included the Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast, Co-chaired the local family shelter Tedford Housing's major fundraiser (Tee off for Tedford), served as chair of the United Way of Midcoast Maine‘s Small business Campaign and has also been involved with the Mid Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross. Currently she is serving on the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors where she previously served as President in 2002 for this board.

She lives in Brunswick with her family. Stacey is looking forward to meeting with you to discuss protecting your business with commercial lines insurance products.

Before joining Down East Insurance Agency, Veronica worked for a mid-sized brokerage firm in Cumberland, Maine. A former Account Executive for Employee Benefits with an extensive background in the medical field, Veronica has years of hands-on experience.

Veronica holds the national designation of Certified Medical Office Manager, experienced in medical billing, coding, reinsurance, stop-loss and claims management. Veronica, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, resides in Greene. Veronica is available to help employers and employees navigate the complex world of Employee Benefits.
